Away We Go!

All the bags are packed and we are winding down...you might ask, why is Kirsten blogging with a huge trip ahead of her tomorrow morning?!  I find blogging therapeutic and in planning for a big trip across the ocean, WITH A TWO YEAR OLD...therapy was needed!

Tomorrow morning will find us heading to the airport en route to Italy!  We will be in the Tuscan region where the sunflowers are in full bloom, beautiful countryside will sprawl out before us and copious amounts of wine wait to be drank!  Many memories will be made on this trip: Lila's first European vacation, cities and cultures to be discovered and two families combining -- my Dad and Laura are getting married while we are there!

With all the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the big trip, Mike and I are both excited to have some uninterrupted family time.  We were discussing last weekend that this is the first time we have been together for a longer period of time since we took time off when Lila was born -- we look forward to this much needed time! 

We will stay at an estate called "Barbazzano."  From the pictures online it is a beautiful property that will house all 13 of us comfortably.  And did I mention it has a pool?!  Take that Holiday Inn!
